In Psalm 17 David is crying out to God to not only hear him but to protect him. He is looking to God to be his protector and place of safety

As I sat with Daniel’s pleas, I was reminded of Jesus’ own pleas as he hung on the cross.  Jesus’ plea in the garden before the guards came

Psalm 125-This passage comes from Psalms that are known as songs of ascents. Jews sang them as they ascended the hill to Jerusalem.

Three things stick out to me: God’s redemption, promise and faithfulness. All 3 can be found in the story of Israel, and in our own stories.
